Enjoy a Limestone Coast feast this festive season

It’s time to celebrate and we are so lucky here in Mount Gambier to be able to do so with the help of wonderful local wines and produce.

This Christmas is all about keeping it local and spending time with the family and friends who are within an easy distance. If you’re planning a feast, here are some of the best producers and stores to help you prepare the perfect holiday table.

Meat and Seafood

Love your prawns on Christmas Day? Want to make your feast a special one?

Sky Seafoods delivers fresh and frozen lobster and fish across South Australia. Order Atlantic salmon, oysters, cooked prawns and more for home delivery from this outlet in Robe.

If you prefer a more traditional roast, an Aussie bbq or a ‘pig on a spit’ extravaganza, you can visit Collins Court Butcher on Jubilee Highway. This local favourite offers a wide selection of cuts of meat, including whole free-range chickens. Try ordering a value bbq pack or a family value pack of meat to get you through Christmas week… and you can also sample some award-winning sausages from this leading local provider.

Festive treats and gifts

Limestone Coast Pantry offers a variety of local wines, honey, cheese, teas, coffee, lentils and grains, organic juice, olive oil, chocolates, soaps and body products. Drop by and you’ll also find jewellery, aprons, tea towels and candles along with eco-friendly beeswax wraps from local producers. Even the artwork on the walls is for sale and produced by well-known local artists. You can find plenty to spread on your Christmas table or choose a hamper to give to friends.

If you’re looking for gifts, Lima & Co has a selection of cards, trees and lovely smelling candles that will bring a feel of Christmas to any home.

Keep your cheese platter local with a delivery from Robe Dairy. Recently reopened, this outlet produces farmhouse cheese, milk and yoghurt, including camembert, brie and a blue ‘Robefort.’
