From the first call (in a panic!) to see if a house was still available; to the last call (in a panic!) that we might not make it to the office in time to pick up the keys; Kim was incredibly helpful!
We had sold our house interstate (…which was a nightmare from start to finish, leading us to believe that buying or selling any house must always be a traumatic event) and didn’t know anything about the different ways things were done in SA when it came to purchasing a home. I called Kim and she talked me through putting in an offer on a house.
We booked in to see 4 open houses one Saturday in March (covid rules) and drove 5 hours to find that 2 were already sold by other real estate groups before we got there, the third didn’t suit, and were finally shown the house we really liked by Marika at Complete who was very knowledgeable about the area and the home itself and said, “take til Monday to think about it when the office reopens; we don’t want to pressure anyone into a sale, because we will eventually end up passing you on the street.” With time to actually think about the house, we decided it was the one we wanted, and Kim helped finalist our offer and we were lucky enough to buy it! From that moment on, I must have called her once a week asking questions I didn’t know the answers to, stressed out of my mind about the crossover of selling and buying and the move itself… and she was forever friendly and understanding; nothing was a problem or a hassle; and by the end of every call I would be laughing with her, saying, “no doubt I’ll talk to you next week…!”
We eventually picked up the keys, met Kim, who was just as lovely in person, and were given a beautiful, unexpected housewarming gift with thoughtful local products to take into our new home! We couldn’t be more grateful for her help, or thankful for her experience!
Thank you so much Kim! We love our new home and yes, we’re still alive, even though I haven’t called to annoy you since we got here! Ha ha!
