The Limestone Coast spans around 200 kilometres and there is plenty to see and do in the area. You can also make your adventure to the beach a weekend or midweek getaway. Robe
If you want to try something new, Robe offers a surf school that has lessons available every single day in summer. There are a few different beaches to choose from, including Long Beach, Town Beach and West Beach. These stretches of sand and surf all match their names, with Town Beach being close to the local settlement, Long Beach stretching for 12 kms and West Beach jutting out and facing west.
The different beaches in Robe give you the opportunity to launch boats, drive onto the sand, go fishing, paddle with small children, surf and go exploring on the rocks.

At Beachport you can swim at the beautiful Surf Beach, which looks back towards the township, or hire a paddleboard or kayak to make the most of the pristine turquoise waters. The Beachport Sea Urchins meet at the Foreshore Rotunda at 7:30 every morning for a self-paced swim along the jetty.
Fishing, surfing, windsurfing and sailing are also popular activities in this area.

Located a short drive from Beachport, Salmon Hole is described by reviewers as quiet but spectacular. It may take a bit of a hike to reach your destination but once you’re there you can fish, swim and enjoy the views out to the horizon. You’ll often find a spot with very few people around, even during the high season.

Little Dip Conservation Park
Just south of Robe, Little Dip Conservation Park has a beach and a collection of lakes. This is a nature-lover’s paradise, with opportunities for camping, 4WD, birdwatching and fishing.

Nora Creina
Nora Creina is a tiny fishing village down the road from Robe. It only has a small collection of shacks and well-kept holiday houses, making it perfect for a low-key beach holiday. The semi-circular-shaped beach is unpatrolled but is described as a safe place to swim.

Port MacDonnell
Originally known as Ngaranga, this location is only around 30 kilometres from Mount Gambier.
You can visit Shelly Beach and look out for landmarks that are locally known as Rocks Rhino, Frog, Crocodile and Camel Rocks. There are plenty of walking trails and even the opportunity to do some cave diving if you’re feeling adventurous.
