Operators Don Pratt and Sam Johnston combined their love of urban coffee culture and lush interiors and brought them both to the heart of Mount Gambier. Enjoy the bi-monthly rotation of art exhibitions while you relish the soup of the day. You can even bring your dog; Confessions makes two delicious dog biscuits to keep your pooch happy while you dine.

Established in 1862, the Mount Gambier Hotel has been providing locals with fine food, great drinks, and good times for 150 years. Play your own part in this venue’s history and make the most of locally sourced food and a huge selection of locally brewed beers.
If you fancy a round of golf this spring, don’t forget about Blue Lakes Golf Club’s Golf and Meal Deal. On Wednesdays and Sundays, after your round of golf, you can choose from beef or chicken schnitzel or fish and chips with salad. Otherwise, you can always enjoy their regular selection of classic favourites as well as their delicious kids’ menu.
Look for a heritage shop front on Commercial Street East, and you will find Presto Eatery. Presto does amazing coffee, delicious meals and sensational cakes and pastries, but it’s their unique cocktails that makes for a memorable venue. You can’t be in Mount Gambier for long and not try out one of their unique creations.
Sorrento’s Cafe: Any local cafe that has kept trading for over twenty years has to be good, and Sorrento’s Cafe is the perfect example. For over 20 years, Sorrento’s has been a local favourite. We also love Herbert’s Vineyard – while it’s not strictly speaking an eatery, the owners are knowledgeable and welcoming when it comes to sharing their wines with customers, and there’s a fantastic maze on site. Drop in on a spring day to sample their pinot noir or pick up a bottle of their olive oil.
